Dundee pharmacist Lewis Cochrane has died at the age of 84.
He was the owner of Morgan Tower Pharmacy, on Nethergate, which he ran for nearly 30 years.
Born in Dundee and brought up in Fyffes Lane, he was educated at Ancrum Road Primary School and Harris Academy before earning his pharmacy degree from Bell Street Technical College.
Mr Cochrane began his career as an agent for companies including Glaxo. During this time he met his wife-to-be Kirsty, a nurse at Perth Royal Infirmary.
Mr Cochrane bought the pharmacy in Morgan Tower in 1968. He remained there for the rest of his working life, continuing to work as a consultant after selling the business in 1997.
A keen photographer, he also played golf and travelled extensively in his younger days.
Mr Cochrane died peacefully at the Tigh-Na-Muirn care home in Monifieth, having previously lived in Hillcrest Road.
He is survived by his four children Linda, Jane, Mhairi and Lewis nine grandchildren and a great-granddaughter.
