Changes to post delivery in Perth have begun

A revised delivery service for the PH1, PH2, and PH14 postcodes has begun.

Royal Mail has made changes to postal services in certain areas of Perth.

The revised delivery service began for post in the PH1, PH2 and PH14 postcodes of the city.

Residents and business addresses located in these areas should receive a letter from Royal Mail explaining the postal changes.

A spokesperson for Royal Mail said that their staff will continue to deliver in the morning and that many customers will get their mail by lunchtime.

“The way in which we communicate with each other has changed dramatically,” he said.

“Unfortunately, fewer letters are now posted every day and Royal Mail needs to organise its delivery routes to be as efficient as possible.

“The time customers receive mail will depend on where they live on the new delivery route. This may be later or, possibly, earlier than current delivery times.”

Royal Mail collections and delivery sector manager Alex Morrison added: “We are proud of the high regard in which our postmen and women are held in Perth. The changes to delivery routes will mean that a member of our local and experienced team will still be delivering to our customers in Perth.”
