A pet dog has been found dead on a Perth golf course after an apparent attack by another dog.
Police say the much-loved Cairn Terrier cross was being walked on Craigie Hill Golf Course at about 5.30am to 6am on Wednesday when its owner stopped to help another dog walker look for one of her greyhounds near the 9th and 10th holes.
After tracing the greyhound, the woman left with her pets and the man went to look for his terrier. He found his pet on the 14th hole with fatal throat injuries.
Police say they are keen to trace anyone who was in the area. They are particularly keen to trace the greyhounds’ owner. She is described as being 5ft 6in tall, with long dark brown hair and at the time she was wearing large puffa-style jacket with a fur-style lined hood. She had an Eastern European accent.
The woman had a black female greyhound on a lead, and a male brown greyhound. Both dogs wore black coats.
