Friends are ‘worried sick’ about missing man Ross Ramsay

Friends of a missing former Angus man have said they are “worried sick” about him.

Police have appealed for information following the disappearance of Ross Ramsay (32), who was last seen in Glasgow early on Friday.

The news officers are now seeking three witnesses who may have seen the last known movements of the sound director has sparked a fresh plea from friends and colleagues.

Mr Ramsay had been due to start a new job at the National Theatre of Scotland in Glasgow but failed to arrive for his first shift on Monday.

After leaving Gala Casino on Sauchiehall Street around midnight on Thursday he was seen walking towards Charing Cross but did not return to his home in Maryhill.

Officers have obtained CCTV footage of three people walking in the Newton Street area around 12.30am, around the same time Mr Ramsay was seen passing through.

Strathclyde Police confirmed the group is not under suspicion but may have seen where Mr Ramsay was heading.

A police spokeswoman said: “Mr Ramsay is 5ft 10in, of a slim build, with auburn, shoulder-length hair.

“When he was last seen he was wearing a grey bomber jacket with black lining and hood, light blue bleached jeans ripped at the bottom and grey high-top trainers.”
