Two men have been detained in relation to an alleged stabbing in Montrose on Sunday night. A 26-year-old man was taken to hospital with a cut to his neck after the incident in Strathmore Place. Police and ambulance services were called to the incident at 10.35pm. It is understood that the man’s injuries are not life threatening. Strathmore Place and Lower Hall Street remained cordoned off by police today. A police spokesman said: “Tayside Division attended at Strathmore Place, Montrose after reports of a disturbance. “A 26-year-old man was taken to hospital for treatment to a neck injury. “Two men are currently detained in relation to the incident and enquiries are ongoing.”
