It’s game over this year for Kirkcaldy footballers

Footballers in Kirkcaldy will be kicking their heels until the new year after it was confirmed a set of popular pitches will not be reopened until January.
The pitches at Kirkcaldy High School have had to be relaid after parts of the former synthetic surface started to lift.
Posing a significant risk, the pitches were closed to the public and a new surface has been put down.
One local man says he and his friends have been left frustrated by the closure.
“I’m gutted that it will be next year before we get back here,” said 32-year-old Danny Lambert.
“I can’t believe it’s taken so long for this to be sorted.”
Fife Council confirmed to The Courier that the pitches would not be ready until the start of 2015.
