Dundee man accused of indecent assault on 12-year-old girl

A man has appeared in court accused of indecently assaulting a 12-year-old girl on an Aberdeen street.

Monirul Islam appeared in private at the city’s sheriff court facing three charges.

He is accused of carrying out a sexual assault on a child as well as an adult. He is further accused of acting in a threatening and abusive manner.

The offence is alleged to have been committed on November 25.

Islam, 34, whose address was given as Dundee, made no plea. The case was committed for further examination and Islam was remanded in custody. He will appear in court again on December 11.
