Boy injured in accident with car near Perth Royal Infirmary

A teenage boy escaped serious injury when he was involved in a collision with a car near the gates of Perth Royal Infirmary.

The 13-year-old was injured on Jeanfield Road at around 10am on Tuesday in an accident involving a blue Vauxhall car.

He was taken the short distance to the hospital suffering from a head injury. Although this was not thought to be serious, he was detained for observation.

While police spoke to witnesses to the accident, the road was closed to traffic and diversions were put in place.
