The scale of the cuts in Perth and Kinrossand where the axe has fallenwill not become clear until Thursday, February 17, when a special council meeting is being held to set the budget.
The authority will have to implement cuts of at least £22mthough it could be as high as £30mover the next three years, a reduction of 6% or 7% from their budget.
Prudent financial planning has placed Perth and Kinross Council in a better position than many local authorities and council chief executive Bernadette Malone has gone on record as saying they should be able to avoid compulsory redundancies, though posts will be lost.
