PlayStation Network hack delays last release from Cohort Studios
ByNews reporter
The release of the final game created by defunct Dundee development company Cohort Studios Ltd has been delayed because of the Sony PlayStation network security breach.
Me Monstar: Hear Me Roar was due to be released this week on the PlayStation Portable and PS3. Anyone wanting to play the game would have been able to purchase it through the online PlayStation network.
However, last week it was revealed the PlayStation network had been hacked and that the personal data of up to 77 million users may have been stolen.
The network was shut down and Sony only began restoring some services from Sunday, May 1.
Cohort Studios Ltd announced two weeks ago that it was to close with the loss of 25 jobs.
Managing director Lol Scraggs said the company had decided to close now and give employees notice of redundancy to ensure they would receive all their entitlements.
Me Monstar will now be released at a later date.
