Dundee’s newly-elected board of directors will be picking up paintbrushes and donning overalls this Saturday to carry out essential maintenance at Dens Park.
Harry MacLean, Jim Thomson, Stuart Murphy, Scott Glenday, Maurice Kidd, Mark Gallacher and Steve Martin hope to inspire fans of the club to volunteer to join them before enjoying the Scottish Cup final in the Andy Penman Lounge.
The jobs include everything from clearing weeds to bricklaying.
All volunteers should report to the main concourse of the Bobby Cox Stand at 11am on Saturday.
For health and safety reasons, they must be 16 or older.
They are asked to bring any of the following items of equipment if they can wire brush, deck brush, hoe, rake, masonry paint brush/roller.
Dundee FC Supporters’ Society volunteers’ co-ordinator Kenny Valentine also asks that anyone willing to lend a hand should email him on dfcssvolunteers@hotmail.co.uk so he can firm up the numbers.
