Man treated in hospital after being attacked and robbed in Dundee street

A man had to be taken to Ninewells Hospital by ambulance after being brutally assaulted and robbed in broad daylight in a Dundee street on Saturday.
The frightening attack happened as he was walking in Gleneagles Road near the junction with Gleneagles Avenue at around 6pm.
Two robbers assaulted him, causing injuries which required hospital treatment. They stole a three-figure sum of cash. The robbers then made off and split up. One was last seen running in St Mungo Terrace and the other in St Ninian Terrace.
An ambulance was called for the injured man and he was taken to Ninewells Hospital, where he was treated for bruising to his right eye and upper lip. He also sustained a small laceration under his right eye, which was glued.
The two men are described as being in their 20s and of white European appearance.
One was wearing blue tracksuit bottoms, a black jacket and trainers, and the other was wearing a blue t-shirt and blue jeans.
