Financial pressures force Forfar FC to bump up prices for first time in five years

Forfar chairman Neill Wilson hopes fans will understand why they will have to pay more to watch their team next season.

With the whole of Scottish football feeling the pinch, the Station Park directors have decided to increase ground admission prices for the first time in over five years.

The rise in VAT and other financial pressures are behind the move, which will see adults pay £12 and concessions £6 at the turnstiles.

“I am sure that the vast majority of the Loons support would understand the reason for the increases,” said Wilson.

“The board, who are all season ticket holders themselves, continue to try and provide manager Dick Campbell with financial backing to put a team on the park which will hopefully continue the amazing improvement achieved over the past three seasons.”

Season ticket prices have been adjusted accordingly with an adult ground ticket priced at £190, under-17s at £70 and under-12s at £30.

The chairman also suggested that fans could back the club’s ambitions by making a share purchase, with around £30,000 of the club’s current issue still available in minimum purchases of 200 £1 shares.
