Forfar Athletic sign Chris Hegarty and good news for Dick Campbell

Forfar boss Dick Campbell has secured his first new player of the summer after persuading Chris Hegarty to sign up at Station Park for next season.
The midfielder, the son of former Dundee United legend Paul Hegarty, was released by third division Montrose last month.
Campbell believes he can do a good job for the Loons in division two and is delighted he has persuaded the player to join the club.
However, as Hegarty arrives, a Forfar striker has headed for the exit door.
“Chris has agreed to sign and I am close to snapping up another two players,” said Campbell.
“However, Bryan Deasley has decided to leave the club. I offered him a new contract but he is going to try his luck elsewhere in a bid to get more regular football.”
Campbell, who has been fighting a battle with major illness, revealed he has recently received good news from his doctors.
“My op has been a success and everything is very positive,” he added. “Things are starting to look up for me again.”
