More than 6000 visitors flocked to Duncan of Jordanstone College of Art and Design for Dundee University’s art degree show within a few days of its opening.
The college, part of the university, thronged with art lovers, local and national arts scene figures, industry professionals and students’ friends and families over the weekend.
The show takes place throughout the two buildings and 14 floors that comprise Duncan of Jordanstone, with every spare space exhibiting art and design.
More than 250 students from 11 undergraduate programmes are exhibiting their final-year projects at the show.
TV presenter Lorraine Kelly launched the show on Thursday and the traditional preview evening for students’ families and friends took place on Friday.
Almost 5000 packed the Perth Road venue for the preview evening, while Saturday and Sunday saw another 1000-plus visitors taking in the students’ work.
It is estimated that the degree show generates almost £1.5 million for the local economy each year.
The free exhibition is open to the public until Sunday, from 10am-8pm on weekdays and from 10am-4pm at the weekend.
