Arbroath railway station letters r back where they used to b

Arbroath railway station’s missing letters have been reinstated following pressure from the public.
The sign on top of the station in Keptie Street had fallen into disrepair, with the missing letters “b” and “r” giving visitors a poor first impression of the town.
It had been an issue for some time but ScotRail has now taken action after concerns were raised a few weeks ago by The Courier.
Councillor Donald Morrison had expressed concern about the poor image the missing letters were giving out at a time when the town is doing all it can to encourage more tourists to visit and more businesses to set up in the area.
Community council chairman Pat Miller echoed Mr Morrison’s view and called on the rail company to take action as soon as possible.
ScotRail has now taken action and the station is looking back at its best.
Arbroath remains a leading light in the Adopt A Station scheme.
