Man dies in suspected chemicals accident in Dundee

A man, believed to be in his 30s, has died in an incident at an industrial estate in Dundee.
Emergency services were called to Diamond Wheels Technologies in Dryburgh Industrial Estate at around 1.35pm on Thursday and found workers trying to help the man.
It is understood he had been working in a chemical tank when he collapsed. He was taken by ambulance to Ninewells Hospital, where it was later confirmed that he had died.
The area concerned was cordoned off and Tayside Fire and Rescue established a temporary exclusion zone.
Two of the man’s colleagues who had gone to help him were checked at the scene by the ambulance crew before being taken to Ninewells for checks. It is understood their condition is giving no cause for concern.
Tayside Fire and Rescue made the scene safe and specialist hazardous material officers identified the chemicals involved.
