Parrot problems will anyone lay claim to the flighty Fin?

An African grey parrot found flying around a Dundee housing estate has been given sanctuary by an animal welfare charity.
The Scottish Society for Prevention of Cruelty to Animals was called to rescue the bird after a member of the public spotted it in Fintry earlier this month.
The bird, which has been named Fin, is being cared for at the Angus, Fife and Tayside Animal Rescue and Rehoming Centre at Petterden north of the city.
Assistant centre manager Lesley Clark said, “We’re surprised no one has been in touch about Fin by now, so hopefully someone will recognise him and give us a call.
“Fin is all grey with a red tail and has quite a large vocabulary. There are a couple of unusual phrases he’s been saying but we’re not going to reveal what they are as these will help anyone who comes forward prove they are Fin’s owner.
“He’s a friendly bird and we’d really like to return him home.”
Anyone missing an African grey parrot is asked to contact the charity’s 03000 999 999.
