KT Tunstall has announced she has finished recording her new album and is set to confirm a series of shows throughout the UK.

The St Andrews-born singer-songwriter has revealed to fans that her new album is complete and it’s likely she will unleash some of the new material at the forthcoming shows.

Writing on her website, the multi-million album selling artist told fans the long wait for her third studio album was almost over.

In a YouTube video on the site she says, “So, the album is finally finished, took a while but I like to think it was worth it.”

Kate said more announcements will be made very shortly through the same means on her website and urged fans to keep a constant watch for updates.

“Keep your eyes on this website of mine… as I am going to be announcing some shows very soon!

“You can find out when and where they are here… so make sure you have a wee look in, you know, all the time.

“Hoping you will dig the new stuff, Love KT.”

The new album will be Kate’s official third album, with her two full electric records — 2004’s multi-platinum-selling Eye To The Telescope and follow up Drastic Fantastic in 2007 — sandwiching the 2007 CD KT Tunstall’s Acoustic Extravaganza, which was released as a present to her fans ahead of the follow-up.

She recorded the new material in Germany earlier this year.
