Cookery author and TV presenter Sue Lawrence whipped up support for the Children’s Hospice Association Scotland (CHAS) when she launched the charity’s 2011 calendar.
Sue is an author of 13 cookery books, including Taste Ye Back: Great Scots and the Food That Made Them, and is a regular cookery presenter on STV’s The Hour.
For every month on the calendar there’s a recipe from Sue, with dishes ranging from neep and tattie soup with haggis croutons to lemon curd pudding with blackcurrant jam.
She said, “Having met families who use Rachel House and seen what wonderful support they’re given I feel very proud to use my recipes to help raise money for this worthy cause.
“I hope everyone has fun recreating these dishes and trying out a new recipe every month.”
CHAS retail manager Pauline Tanbini added, “Sue’s support has been fantastic and thanks also go to Duncan McEwen for his wonderful landscape photography featured in the calendar.
“The calendar will help us raise funds needed to run CHAS services at Rachel House in Kinross, Robin House in Balloch and the CHAS at Home service throughout Scotland.”
The calendar is available for £3.50 from the Kinross Gift Shop at 23 Avenue Road or by ordering at www.chas.org.uk.
Anyone who would like to support CHAS can also call the Kinross fund-raising office on 01577 865222.
