Police are appealing for witnesses after a man died after he fell outside a Dundee supermarket on Tuesday morning.
It is thought the 63-year-old may have taken ill before suffering head injuries in the incident near Morrison’s, just off the A90.
The man was treated at the scene and later taken to the Ninewells Hospital, but medics were unable to save him.
A spokesman for the Scottish Ambulance Service said: ”We attended an incident just off Fountainbleau Drive at around 7.54am, and transported a patient to hospital.
”It’s not yet clear whether the man slipped or if he had fallen after suffering a medical episode, but it’s not thought that any vehicle or anyone else was involved.”
Chief inspector Sandy Brodie said: ”We are not treating the death as suspicious. We would ask for anyone who was in the area at the time and who might be able to help to get in touch.”
A report will be sent to the procurator fiscal, while anyone with information should call Tayside Police on 0300 111 2222, or speak to any officer.
