Pyrotechnics heralded the band’s explosive first track, Underneath The Lights, from their last album Bread and Circuses.
The Dryburgh foursome were back and on fire at Fat Sam’s in Dundee on Wednesday night.
Around 1,000 fans erupted when Kyle, Kieren, Pete and Mo leapt on stage for a 90 minute set which included all their hits, including top 20 singles Superstar Tradesman, Same Jeans and Wasted Little DJs. They also played favourites Sunday, Grace, Shock Horror, Temptation Dice and Face for the Radio.
There were more fireworks as they ended a 30-second reggae version of Superstar Tradesman, with frontman Kyle stepping in to say: ”Let’s just play it!”
New material was warmly received and augurs well for next year’s album.
The second leg of their double-header is on Thursday night at Fat Sam’s. There are still some tickets available from Groucho’s and ticketmaster.
