A Dundee man has appeared at the city’s sheriff court charged with attempted murder at a B&Q.
Brian Coventry (34), of Craighill Court, appeared in private before Sheriff Hughes on Monday on a petition alleging attempted murder, breach of the peace, possession of a knife and attempting to pervert the course of justice.
He made no plea or declaration and was remanded in custody while the case was continued for further examination.
His appearance was in connection with an incident at B&Q in Dundee’s Milton of Craigie retail park on Friday.
Armed police rushed to the store at 8pm after reports that an assistant had been stabbed.
The injured man was assisted by staff at the store until paramedics arrived and he was taken to Ninewells Hospital where his condition is described as ”serious but stable”.
The breach of the peace charge is over an incident at the store on December 30.
