Cheeky For A Reason gives The View their third top-10 album

It was celebration time in Dundee and Spain last night after The View chalked up another top-10 album.

Their new record, Cheeky For A Reason, released a week ago today, charted at number nine in the UK album charts, the band’s third top-10 success and their fourth top-20 album.

The Dryburgh boys were relaxing in Spain after playing a festival in Bilbao when the news broke.

Guitarist Pete Reilly said: ”It’s brilliant news. We knew it was in the top 10 during the week and we thought it might stay there, so it’s fantastic.

”Three top-10 albums now isn’t bad for a wee band from Dundee four top 20 out of four. I’m delighted we couldn’t be more happy just now.”

Pete added: ”Everything’s going really well. The crowds have been amazing on the tour and the new songs have gone down well.

”We knew it was a great album and our amazing fans obviously think so too because they’ve gone out and bought it.

”I think it’s safe to say The View are on fire again.”
