Police have launched a probe into a spate of thefts from cars in Angus.
A series of vehicles were broken into in Arbroath, with thousands of pounds worth of personal belongings, expensive tools and cash stolen.
Officers have a issued a warning to car owners in the town to be vigilant and not to leave items of value on display.
A black Nissan Navara was targeted by thieves at Cliffburn Road between 7pm on Saturday and 3pm on Sunday.
The thieves made off with a Paslode nail gun, a Stihl powersaw, a Bosch chop saw, two Makita cordless drills and a Makita jigsaw.
During a separate incident in Warddykes Avenue, a black leather purse containing money was stolen from a black Hyundai Getz, between 9pm on Monday and 7.30am on Tuesday.
On Thursday of last week, a Garmin satellite navigation system was stolen from a blue Ford Galaxy parked in Linton Road at around 1.10am.
A spokeswoman for Tayside Police said: ”Officers are once again reminding drivers to take every possible precaution to deter the thieves.
”Car crime tends to be a crime of opportunity but, by applying simple security measures, vehicle owners can reduce the chances of becoming a victim of this type of incident.
”Drivers must ensure that their vehicle is secured when left unattended and that no property is left in open view.”
