St Johnstone have announced a very glamorous friendly to complete their pre-season programme.
Spanish side Real Valladolid will visit McDiarmid Park on August 7.
The side was relegated from La Liga last season but boasts stars such as Paraguay’s World Cup goalkeeper Justo Villar and ex-Manchester United forward Manucho.
The game is part of a tour of Scotland, which will see the Spaniards also take on Inverness Caley Thistle, Kilmarnock and Celtic.
St Johnstone travelled north from their summer training camp in Warwick on Monday.
The Perth men have been using the facilities at Warwick University to lay the basis for their pre-season and play their first friendly on Saturday, against Forfar.
It is hoped the signing of striker Sam Parkin can be completed today.
Manager Derek McInnes said, “It’s been a great week and I’m delighted with the amount of work we covered. “We did 15 sessions in total and it has been good to break the back of the pre-season work but there is plenty of work to be done.”
