The family are mourning the death of a 29-year-old woman from cancer less than a year after she was married.
Linda Milne, who worked as a pharmacist at Ninewells Hospital, was originally from Luthermuir, Aberdeenshire.
She was educated at Mearns Academy in Laurencekirk and went on to study at Strathclyde University. She worked at PRI then spent a year in Australia with boyfriend Darren before coming to Ninewells three years ago.
She and Darren, who had been together for 10 years, were married in September and went back to Australia on honeymoon.
She was diagnosed with bowel cancer four months ago.
Darren said, “Linda was a loving, caring person and had a large group of friends. She was a well-respected pharmacist and was dedicated to her career.
“She also had a great love of travelling. She had been all over the world.”
Linda died on Sunday at home.
Her husband added, “I was holding her hand, going through our photo albums of our travels and our memories.
“She tried to stay positive during everything. She was the strongest one in the family.”
Mrs Milne is also survived by parents David and Frances Butler, brother Neil and sisters Elaine and Claire.
Her mother said, “She was an incredibly bubbly person. She was very popular and loved all her family.”
