Vandals have caused ”hundreds of pounds worth of damage” to a popular Perthshire playground.
The climbing wall at MacRosty Park in Crieff was damaged earlier this month after coping stones were ripped from it.
The vandals also attacked the pavilion, tearing a support bar from the wall of the disabled toilet.
Police are now investigating the incident, which took place between November 6 and November 10.
Local community officer PC Sarah Bell said: ”There has been hundreds of pounds worth of damage caused here and there is no excuse for such behaviour.
”I am hopeful someone in the community knows who did this and will come forward and let us know. These people should be held to account for their actions.”
Perth and Kinross Council’s environment convener, Councillor Alan Grant, said: ”The major investment in improvements at MacRosty Park has significantly enhanced its appeal for both residents and visitors as a place to enjoy for leisure and recreation.
”Therefore, the mindless vandalism which has occurred to the park’s facilities recently is very saddening and disappointing. We would ask anyone who may have information about who is responsible to contact Tayside Police.”
