DUNDEE DEFENDER Brian Easton is nearing a comeback. The Dark Blues full-back has been put through a mini pre-season after recovering from the hamstring injury he picked up at Aberdeen back in September. The former Hamilton and Burnley man had just broken into the first team after joining up at Dens at the back end of the summer. Dundee boss Barry Smith said: “Brian is getting closer, which is good news. “His rehabilitation has been good and fair play to him for that. “When Brian signed after leaving Burnley he hadn’t done a pre-season, which isn’t ideal, but we’ve worked him very hard in recent weeks. “Brian is a willing worker and is getting his rewards so it will obviously be nice when he’s fully fit again.” Dundee travel to face Ross County this weekend, hoping to get back to winning ways in the wake of their 3-0 derby defeat by Dundee United. Smith said: “The lads are still in good spirits and will go to Dingwall looking for the victory. “We know ourselves what we have to do and we’ll be looking for a reaction.”
