St Johnstone’s David Robertson is back home convalescing, after having an operation on his broken leg.
The midfielder, who suffered the fracture against Hibs last Wednesday, had surgery at Perth Royal Infirmary on Friday and was allowed out a day later.
McDiarmid Park boss Steve Lomas said: ”The operation has gone well and Robbo is at home recovering.
”He will have to take it easy for a while because it is a long road back.”
Meanwhile, Lomas admitted that even if the rearranged Scottish Cup tie with Cowdenbeath does beat the weather tonight, veteran defender Callum Davidson will not be risked.
He missed the Hibs game because of a groin problem and, with Saints facing a defensive crisis for their game against St Mirren in the SPL at the weekend, he is set to be wrapped in cotton wool.
David McCracken cannot be risked as he returns from surgery on a fractured cheekbone, while fellow centre-backs Frazer Wright and Dave Mackay are suspended.
Winger Peter Pawlett and Paddy Cregg are back training and could be in the squad to play St Mirren while Kevin Moon is also available.
