A PARCEL delivery van has been stolen as the driver stopped to hand over a parcel.
The 25-year-old courier was pulled from the vehicle by a man when he stopped in Old Edinburgh Road, Uddingston, at around 8.50am on Thursday.
The attacker then got into the van and another man got in the passenger side of the white Mercedes Sprinter.
Strathclyde Police said the driver was not injured but was left badly shaken.
The vehicle was carrying parcels to be delivered to private and commercial customers. It was later found empty elsewhere in the town. Police believe the parcels were transferred to another vehicle.
The man who pulled the driver out of the van is aged 30-40, had a local accent and wore a fluorescent jacket with black hood. The only description of the second robber is that he was also wearing a fluorescent jacket.
Detective Constable Paul Brown said: “We want to trace these men and locate the parcels so that they can be returned to their rightful owners.”
