More than 800 jobs have been saved after Dixons Carphone last night moved to offer posts to staff working on Phones4U concessions in its stores.
Phones 4U collapsed with the potential loss of more than 5,000 jobs this week after EE became the third network operator to end contract renewal discussions with the retailer.
“We can confirm that Dixons Carphone have agreed, with our blessing, to offer roles to all people in the Phones 4U concessions located in Dixons Carphone outlets,” Phones 4U joint administrator Rob Hunt said.
“We’re delighted to reach this agreement, thereby securing continued employment for more than 800 people.”
