Tayside and Fife are well represented at this year’s Institute of Directors (IoD) Scotland Director of the Year Awards.
The shortlist for the award includes John Robertson, managing director of Burntisland Fabrications, and David Currie, managing director of FMC Technologies in Dunfermline.

Dave Tudor, site director of GlaxoSmithKline in Montrose, is shortlisted in the developing young people section.
The winners will be announced at a gala dinner hosted by broadcaster Kaye Adams on March 18 at the Crowne Plaza Hotel in Glasgow.
IoD Scotland said the quality of nominations reflected the calibre of those operating in senior positions across the country’s business community.
Past winners include the likes of Sir Moir Lockhead, chief executive and deputy chairman of FirstGroup; Jim McColl, chairman and chief executive of Clyde Blowers Ltd; and Cairn Energy PLC chief executive Sir Bill Gammell.
Designed to recognise and celebrate the top senior directors working across Scotland’s private, public and voluntary sectors, the awards focus not just on individual achievement but on the importance of the director’s role in the community and the commitment and expertise shown to businesses.
Executive director of the IoD in Scotland David Watt said, “The Director of the Year Awards are where we celebrate the successes of Scotland’s business leaders and acknowledge the sterling work they do in driving their respective organisations forward.
“It’s important that their leadership is publicly acknowledged.”
