Gregor Stewart has been appointed a non-executive director at Alliance Trust, the Dundee-based generalist investment house.
Currently a professional adviser to international financial services groups, he was finance director for the insurance division of Lloyds Banking Group for three years to 2012, having previously been a partner in Ernst & Young’s financial services practice.
Karin Forseke, chairman of Alliance Trust, welcomed Gregor Stewart to the board, saying: “His extensive experience working with companies in the financial services industry, both in the UK and overseas, will be invaluable to us. ”
He will take up his new post on Monday.
Meanwhile, National Express Group the international public transport operator, whose interests include National Express Dundee announced that Jez Maiden will leave to join the board of Croda International Plc, the specialty chemical company, as an executive director.
Matthew Ashley, the National Express interim group finance director, will remain in post until Mr Maiden is replaced.
