Major Scottish land and property consultants CKD Galbraith saw profits fall marginally in the last financial year.
New abbreviated financial statements lodged with Companies House show turnover at the limited liability partnership increased by more than half a million pounds to £10.58m in the year to March 31, 2014.
However, pre-tax profits were marginally lower than the year previous, with a £2.23m return compared to the £2.37m of 2013.
Retained profit for the year available for discretionary division among the partnership’s members – the average number of which increased during the year from 17 to 23 – was down from £2.3m in 2013 to £2.14m.
The group is one of Scotland’s leading independent land and property consultancies, managing more than one million acres of land across the country.
It employed an average monthly workforce of 216 during the year in review but that has since grown further with the opening last Spring of the firm’s first office in Aberdeen.
The group now operates from a network of 14 offices from the Borders to Inverness and has strong connections to Tayside and Fife with outlets in Perth, Cupar, Alyth and Aberfeldy.
In April last year, Iain Russell succeeded James Galbraith as chairman of the group to work alongside chief executive Tim Kirkwood.
