Insurance and financial services firm Borland Group is to open a new office in Fife in the wake of a six-figure deal to acquire McHardy & Burnett.
Borland bought over the independent financial advisory business, which can trace its roots back more than 50 years, in March. It said it would soon open a new office in Kirkcaldy to add to its existing operations in Aberdeen and Dunfermline.
Borland CEO John Silcock said: “We are committed to investing in the north-east of Scotland and now have a holistic business where our clients will benefit from a fully rounded insurance and financial services offering.”
M&B chief executive Ross Smith said: “The team of 30 members of staff from McHardy & Burnett will remain with the firm and continue to trade under the existing name.”
