Premier Oil yesterday hailed a strong performance from its North Sea assets after a 13% uplift in production volumes.
“Successful subsea interventions” helped boost production beyond expectations in the four months to April 30 at its operated Balmoral field and non-operated Wytch Farm play.
Strong production from Huntington was interrupted in mid-April for repairs to the floating production system.
Outgoing chief executive Simon Lockett, whose successor has yet to be named, said: “We have extended our recent exploration successes with the Kuda Laut discovery, the first of four material wells planned for the next 12 months.”
