A dozen “clean” firms from Tayside, Fife and beyond who have invested in renewable power generation schemes will be highlighted under a new initiative.
Scottish Renewables’ “Made in Scotland from Renewables” scheme will feature the companies at this week’s Royal Highland Show.
Among them are Angus Soft Fruits, Cronan Farm, Coupar Angus, Pitlivie Farm near Carnoustie and Over Rankeilour Farms in Cupar.
SR chief executive Niall Stuart said: “There are four reasons why these firms are moving to renewable generation to lower their energy costs in the future, to reduce their carbon footprint, to potentially generate income and because consumers are increasingly conscious of the environmental credentials of everything they buy.”
