A new £33 million centre of excellence for the Scottish National Blood Transfusion Service has given a shot in the arm to support services and construction group Interserve.
The firm yesterday said the project at Heriot-Watt Research Park in Edinburgh was one of several new contract wins since the start of the year.
Other contracts for the company which was one of the lead contractors on the multi-million- pound transformation of the Malmaison hotel in Dundee include awards from the UK Government, Mercedes-Benz and Haribo.
In an update yesterday, the company said it was on track to meet the board’s financial expectations and was making progressing with the integration of the Rentokil Facilities business it acquired in a £250m deal earlier this year.
CEO Adrian Ringrose said: “Conditions in most of our markets are improving, and work winning during the period has been good.”
