ByThe Courier Reporter
Former major Arbroath engineering works have gone on the market in the hope of bringing a new investor to the town.
John M Henderson’s Kings Works in the Kirkton industrial estate could be attractive to the energy services industry, the marketing agents believe.
The heavy engineering firm closed in October last year with the loss of 90 jobs
Notable features include extensive overhead cranes capable of lifting up to 50 tonnes, an eves height of up to 11 metres, an inspection pit of four metres and a substantial secure yard.
Agents Graham + Sibbald said these aspects are unique on a site in the area, and make the building suited for the oil and gas sector along with established firms in the area.
