A Fife-based provider of video over IP services is to create up to 20 new jobs after moving to a new headquarters.

Exterity will add the new roles over the course of the coming year after it relocated its head office base to a fully refurbished 13,000ft2 office and production space at St David’s Business Park in Dalgety Bay.

Founded in 2001, Exterity has grown to become a leading provider of IPTV technology.

The firm’s systems are used by a wide range of organisations customers include the Scottish Government, NHS and the Spanish Airport Authorities to stream video content to multiple displays and deliver multiple news sources to mobile devices.

The move to new premises has come amid rising demand for its service and supports Exterity’s plans to double its workforce over the next five years.

In the coming 12 months, the firm is planning to add around 20 new staff to its 70-strong workforce.

Exterity founder and CEO Colin Farquhar said the new HQ was “an important step” for the business.

He said: “We have always found Fife a great location to grow an international business and, as we move to the next stage of expansion, Fife continues to offer the right facilities to support us.

“Our location in Dalgety Bay also provides excellent access to Scotland’s strong engineering talent pool and will enable us to double our Scottish workforce by 2020.”

In addition to Scotland, Exterity has offices in Asia, the Middle East, Europe, North America and South Africa, and a presence in 50 countries through its StreamForce partner network of distributors and resellers.
