Perth-based small-scale hydro power developer Green Highland Renewables has appointed senior industry executive Mark Mathieson as its new chief executive officer.
The firm said Mr Mathieson, who has spent the past 25 years in various senior roles with SSE, including the past nine as managing director of its networks business, will take up his new role next month.
The new incumbent will take over from Richard Round, who only joined the business last year and who led it through its spring acquisition by Ancala Renewables LP, an infrastructure investment vehicle managed by Ancala Partners.
Mr Mathieson said his new role was an “exciting” opportunity.
“The company’s new shareholder, Ancala Renewables, has ambitious plans to further grow the business both through GHR’s pipeline of development projects as well as acquisitions.
“I look forward to working with GHR’s highly capable team.”
