The management of a portfolio of more than 100 rental properties in Angus has been switched to a new provider.
The properties had been on the books of estate agency and solicitors firm Lindsays since its merger with Dundee-based Shield & Kyd last year.
But as the Arbroath office was the only one in Lindsays’ portfolio with significant experience in the property letting sector, the company decided to discontinue the service.
The firm said it had now reached an agreement to transfer the property to Angus-based letting agency Wardhaugh Property Management.
“We concluded that it would not be practical for us to continue to offer this service,” Lindsays’ managing partner Alastair Cumming said.
“Wardhaugh is a growing, innovative and client-focused business which takes landlord service and regulatory compliance very seriously indeed.”
Amanda Wiewiorka, director of Wardhaugh Property Management, said: “We are delighted to have been chosen by Lindsays to take over management of their portfolio.”
Wardhaugh, bought by the current directors in 2009, has branches in Forfar and Arbroath.
