Cobra Mobile’s Let’s Go Rocket was launched in May for Apple iOS and two months later for Android devices. Mark Ettle of Cobra said: “The game turned to profit in six days which was pretty cool in the current climate. “Ten weeks later the game has hit a new milestone and been played over 100 million times and continues to blast along very strong.” The Dundee studio is adding updates and working on more new game ideas. Tiga, the games industry’s representative body, reported that employment in the Scottish video games development sector grew by 9% to 1,920 in 2014. Dundee is major centre in the sector, and the increase is in line with the rest of the UK. Industry tax revenues rose by 8.9% to £44m.
