Perth transport giant Stagecoach is to expand its megabus.com network of budget services into Germany for the first time.
The low-cost coach operator said a new link between London and Cologne would be launched this month as part of a raft of new European timetable additions.
Megabus.com will also now serve Lille, Ghent, Rotterdam and Antwerp for the first time, providing more choice for customers travelling to Europe.
The London to Cologne service which will still offer seats for as little as £1, subject to conditions will run twice a day via Ghent and Brussels, with a total journey time of 10 and a half hours.
Stagecoach launched the value brand in Europe in April 2012, with routes including Paris, Amsterdam, Brussels and Boulogne.
