Alva-based Marshall Plant has achieved a four-fold boost in turnover as it plans to venture into new types of machinery.
The division of Marshall Construction, which has numerous sites throughout the Central Belt, has increased its turnover from £500,000 to £2 million since Elaine Marshall, daughter of MD Robert Marshall, took over in 2013.
Marshall Plant supplies excavators, JCBs, lorries and a large range of small plant including mixers, generators and drills.
It also works with external companies, hiring out operated excavators, JCBs and lorries.
Elaine Marshall said: “We plan to look at moving into different types of plant in the coming months. We are very pleased with how the division is performing.”
The plant division’s income is part of the £35m turnover of the group.
