Glasgow-based finance firm Henderson Stone is set to create a small number of jobs in Dundee with the establishment of a new office.
The company said it had decided to establish a new east coast base because of the opportunities arising from the city’s economic regeneration.
The firm has appointed financial adviser Scott Fyfe to head up its new office, and intends to have four advisers and support staff in the city by the autumn.
Henderson Stone director Sam Henderson said: “We are keen to consider bases for our advisers in areas of Scotland where we see a real opportunity to grow our business, such as Dundee.
“We are currently researching both new office space on the waterfront as well as the opportunity to share existing space with other professional firms.
“While it’s early days yet, we would like to develop joint ventures with solicitors and accountants, possibly leading ultimately to alternative business structures with ambitious firms.
“The Dundee office will give us a base to work with clients in the city itself but also with clients in Perth, Fife and Broughty Ferry,” he added.
