A computer games development team made up of Finnish and Scottish design talent has scooped Bafta’s One to Watch prize at the British Academy Games Awards.
Kind of a Big Deal first came together for the annual Dare to be Digital contest run by Abertay University.
The group’s Starcrossed game was one of Dare’s winning games at last year’s contest.
It was put forward for Bafta consideration as a result.
It has also been released commercially.
Andrew said: “It’ll take a while for it to properly sink in. The other guys in the team will progress with the game, and I’m going to finish my degree and progress my career in the games industry.”
Professor Louis Natanson of Abertay said: “Starcrossed is a very worthy winner of the BAFTA Ones to Watch Award, and it’s superb that the team has already completed and released a finished version of the game.”
