The Scottish Salmon Company has seen a leap in third-quarter revenues in the strongest year of trading since its inception.
Revenues soared 82.6% to £33.6 million compared to the same quarter last year, with year-to-date revenues up 56.2% to £95.1m.
The sustained period of warmer water continuing to September contributed to strong biological growth in what is usually a challenging time of year for the industry.
The firm harvested 8,779 tonnes during the third quarter, a 93.7% increase on last year, and raised its forecast for the year to 30,000 tonnes.
Earnings before interest and taxes per kg were £0.03, up from last year’s -£0.28.
