A Dundee corporate immigration lawyer has been appointed to the CBI Scotland Council.
Jamie Kerr, a partner at Dundee-headquartered law firm Thorntons, will serve on the board for a two-year period from January.
He said: “Specialising in immigration law has highlighted how important it is that the UK remains commercially competitive on the international stage.
Meanwhile, KPMG yesterday said it had strengthened its Scottish team with a series of appointments and promotions at partner, associate partner and director level.
It said its investment in the business took its workforce north of the border above 800 for the first time.
